But serious, to describe the style of Finland's CHARON, you could try to take the best from SENTENCED, AMORPHIS and a few ingredients of HIM, but still you would do them injustice to accuse them of plagiarism.

Very nice and variable Gothic Metal can be found on "Tearstained", supported by a female opera-singer and a cello on a few tracks, adding to the variability.

CHARON are very dark and melancholic, but at the same time very accessible, too, avoiding the footfalls of dullness and kitsch.
