Carved in Stone is the musical project of the artist Swawa . Her roots lie in the Metal scene, where she already played keyboards and did the female vocals for the dark Metal bands Dark Intention and Paimon, before she joined the Pagan Metal band Taunusheim as a permanent member.

Since Swawa is the only member of Carved in Stone, the music is formed by her fascination for nature, nordic mythology and finally old ballads of the last centuries. These subjects have a strong influence on the lyrics as well as on the music; a touch of fantasy and medieval feeling create a mystic folk music which fascinates its listeners.

The singing changes between dreaming, yearning and silent agression. Most of the presented songs have already existed for years, but could only now be published through Schwarzdorn Production. The result is "The forgotten belief", which is supposed to be the first, but surely not the last presentation of Carved in Stone and Schwarzdorn Production.

The MCD will be a limited edition of 500 copies. The excellent booklet design was created by Hvem Skulle, who has already worked for bands such as Cerberus, Socius and Taunusheim.
