Solid good ol fashioned death metal. Nothing new but at least it doesn't stray into some fay sub-genre that bands that've been around 10 years or so fall into more often than not. Tight production, clever hooks. Good screams, too with comprehensible lyrics built on a rhythm. But technicality and demonic screams are a dime a dozen here. It's drums that make or break you, and the drums here bored me at times-- a little too similar to the "boom-chuck" straight 4/4 skinwork that I hate of The Haunted. C'mon, use those toms for more than just fills. Try an older album if you wanna a real taste of Carnal Forge.
