Buried Beneath was conceived a little over a year ago and introduced the local music scene to a new level of extremity. The new wave of extreme metal was formed by three founding members. Brother guitarists, Joel and Jordan Blake remained with long time vocalist, Simon Cleary to attempt to bring in a newer, heavier sound to the local scene. With new drummer on board Richard Cowdry and new bassist Simon Allcorn the band regained their reputation as a fearsome live act at The Furnace, Swindon on the 25/02/05. The crushing performance led to a positive review in a local newspaper and the band have now been the local opener for Grindcore legends Napalm Death.
