just to let everyone know VENOM did not create "black metal" only the term, maybe they influenced bm, but BATHORY was, in fact, the first true bm band.

Fourth album for the enigmatic Quarthon (R.I.P).This album is a perfect starting point for anyone wishing to start a BATHORY collection or even if they must own one, this is it!

Equal parts thrash and "viking metal" as the man himself labelled it. From the epic first song , right until the last necro riff is still fucking with your head, this record doesn't give you any time for a rest. Black thrash is the order of the day here, make no mistake about that. This is the last album before they upped the ante even more and took things in a more epic, majestic way. Absolutely no fan of metal should be without this album. Essential. 10/10!

Blood Fire Death is perhaps Bathory's most perfect agressive sound ever. This album still contains the pulverizing texture of it's predecesors; but began to show signs of a more epic direction that the band would later adopt. There is something for every kind of black metal fan on this death/black metal adventure. Eternal tracks such as " A Fine Day to Die " and the albums title track open and seal Blood Fire Death with a viking feel like no other. Defenetly worth a try and worth owning; VERY RARE. BTW: Hidden phrases in the lyrics if you look hard enough!!
