Another masterpiece of blazingly freezing pagan black metal with a very dark feeling. One of the best 'true' BM albums of recent years. Throw your wimpy sold-out norse black metal Cd's out the window and get this album!!!!!!! Hail! Slava! Arkona!

After a period of silence, Arkona are back, and stronger than ever. This album is quite an improvement over "Zeta Reticuli" (which got boring for me after awhile). The keyboards have returned, perhaps even in greater quantity than on "Imperium". The music is faster, maybe along the lines of Marduk (a better comparison would be The Stone), but there is plenty of variety that makes this album MUCH more interesting than Marduk. The keyboards are scattered, yet more present and in the front than earlier Arkona albums. They are quite technical at times, reminding me of Limbonic Art. But Arkona have NOT sold out, the sound of this album is just as raw as their others, and this CD will not appeal to the commercial crowd or newcomers to Black Metal. Get this if, like me, you absolutely love this band, or if you like raw black metal with a little melody and don't mind keyboards.
