When these guys released their debut, “The Codex Necro”, any of my friends will tell you that I was literally foaming at the mouth with adulation for this band. Fuckin awesome Mayhem/ Gorgoroth riffs, an inhuman screaming vocalist, and a crushing wall of super scathing guitars. It was truly some of the best black metal I had heard in years. Anaal Nathrakh have since released their awesome collected demos on disc, a mCD (which I ‘ve not heard), and now return with their 2nd full-length release. Immediately noticeable is the much cleaner production - not near as ‘necro’ as the first album. But, in large, the Anaal Nathrakh style is much intact. The band still writes brutal songs verging on black/death metal. As with each of their releases, however, Anaal introduces new elements. Some hit and some miss. I liked the sparse clean vocals, which remind me of Emperor. The new stuff that I didn’t care for were the riffs here and there that smell a little too much of “jump metal” - a style I despise. In spite of some minor misgivings, “Domine Non Es Dignus” is one of the better black metal albums at the moment. Richard Osmond (The Metal Vault)

The earlier releases by this Brummy duo were promising: here, they finally start to really deliver.
I'd still call this a Black Metal album, but a very diverse and slick one.
The songs are distinctive enough this time around and while the vocals vary in approach thay are consistent in high quality.
This is a very eclectic-yet-cohesive and entertaining-but-serious CD.
