AKRABU is performed and conjured by Scorpios and named after the Sumerian word for the Scorpion-God one who guards the Mountains of MASHU, where the merciless gates of KUR hold back the restless ones . All songs shall be considered Rites and all lyrics consist of Invocations, Evocations, Conjurations and the essence of the astral. The rites are musickally designed to introduce trance with influences of ancient trance chants and songs of Mesopotamia. Akrabu consists entirely of acoustic instruments from stringed instruments, and flutes to percussion and voice / invocations, voices, chimes, percussives. No synthesizers are used, which puts Akrabu into a whole new realm of ritual orchestrations . Akrabu s debut album album on MEMENTO MORI is an intitiated ritual masterwork of Sumerian vampyrism and mythic splendour .
